One year down, lots more to go!

Holy Cow! That about sums up the last 12 months adequately. We can't believe that our little toodle bug turned 1 last week. I have no idea where the last year went or how it flew by so quickly. Kristen had been planning a birthday party for Aubrey for the past couple of months and all of a sudden party day arrived. Everyone had a blast, Kristen did a super job with the decorations and getting everything just right (the only part I can really take credit for is the BBQ and the moving of tables and chairs) and everyone had a blast including the birthday girl!

Aubrey loves Mickey Mouse so we had a Mickey birthday, and Kristen planned everything out perfectly. I wouldn't have been surprised if a huge mouse would've burst through the door and started dancing outside.

Aubrey had lots of friends over and had a great time playing with them and running around, plotting on how to overthrow all the adults with her army of babies and toddlers. She also found time to take a dip in the pool and cool off. 

We also had to make sure there was time for cake! Aubrey hasn't quite yet developed her sweet tooth (although if she is anything like her daddy I'm sure it will be strong once it arrives) but she still dove into her cake and made quite the mess.

We had such a fun day and cannot wait to see what adventures the next year brings our family. Thanks to everyone who was able to come hang out and help us celebrate our one year old!

Busy busy busy!

It's been way too long since I posted anything here, life has picked up the pace as of late, and Aubrey is as busy as ever. She's crawling now, and has been for about a week which really keeps daddy on his toes. Nothing is as interesting as the stuff she isn't supposed to get to, and every day we find more stuff that falls within her ever expanding reach. Here's a few pictures of the cute trouble maker, she's getting so big and grown up now!
